Thai style glamping
We started refreshed after our rest day and with (as always) perfect weather conditions. With a mostly flat profile until a longer uphill before the end and no big towns on the route we left Phrae without any big expectations. And I most say I fell in love with this stage.
Starting with he weather bright blue sky and not too hot we followed the road and soon found ourselves on a well paved curvy road with little traffic through a forest with some moderate ups and downs simply beautiful. Afterwards we passed some towns completely untouched by tourism -> I remember how on our trips before we were impressed by teak building, now they were the standard.
Our goal the city Lampang was too far away from Phrae for us to be reached in one day so we had to make a stop in between. Again like 2 days before there was only one option a farmstay which offered luxury tents.
As mentioned there was a long uphill before reaching the accomodation and this time again after leaving the backroad on a major road. By then we were used to it and I must say it is really no problem. The uphill itself was steady and not really steep 5-6% so we mastered it without problems.

Then we found the farm which was located next to a village (really just a few houses and a temple) again really in the middle of nowhere. The farm was run by a very nice older couple They spoke only a few words English but again, it was no problem to explain that we had made a reservation and they gave us a tent. When we arrived there was no one else there and we were actually wondering a bit what this was all for since the place was very nicely setup and you could see that the owners had put a lot of love into it, but there was simpyl nothing around it. However later in the day more and more people showed up it seems that this is a place the people use for reunions and small vacations.
The tent by the way wass nothign compared to a “normal” tent. It had a real door, an own bathroom tent next to it, also with lockable door, electrical power (jut don’t touch anything) and air condition,
For dinner we had a nice barbecue.
Once more a really great stay.
