Back to Civilization

Once we managed to get out of our warm bed into the misty cold around our tent we got breakfast at our place and packed our things for the last planned ride.

There were another 300-400m of climbing ahead of us and we were both a bit anxious to see whether the profile would be similar as the day before. Luckily it was not. the climb was rather steady and we made good progress on the way up.

And from there it was more or less a loooooong descent back to Chiang Mai. The interessting thing about it was, that shortly after we crossed the pass, the surrounding changed. Not from the landscape, but from a civilization point of few you could tell that we were now in the perimeter of Chaing Mai set up for all sorts of tourism, including a huge zipline park, Elefant farm, a hot spring resorts and also lots and lots of coffee houses once again.

The descent was steep but still joyful to ride and we made good progress. Once back in the flat we soon left the big road and approached the city on backroads until we reached the city limits were we back in full traffic until we finally reached again the old town of ChaingMai and our stay for the next days.
