Looking at Anouk growing and considering that we might have another one, we agreed that this trip t has to be something we won’t be able to do for a while. Meaning long and lots of mountains ending somewhere at the mediterranean sea.
The weather forecast in general was not good all over Europe so we planned 2 routes one to Nice in France and one to Slovenia. Slovenia was clearly preferred by Anja simply because we have not been there yet. And just in time the forecast turned better and so we packed our bikes and hit the road again.
The route
This time we pass lake Constance side on its west side, and head into the alps on our 4th day and then cross parts of the alps from West to East. We would stay in the mountains until the last stage.
In total ~950kms which we plan to do in 14 stages incuding 7 passes in the alps, where 4 of them are above 200´0m
